Pram Pushes for Faster Licensing During Public Service Mall Visit

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung made a working visit to the Public Service Mall in Karet Kuningan, South Jakarta.

Jakarta administration's primary spearhead for investment

The working visit focused on evaluating the quality of licensing services, especially the investment sector, which drives the Jakarta administration's economic growth.

"I specifically chose to visit the One-Stop Service today to see for myself what acts as the Jakarta administration's primary spearhead for investment," he expressed, Friday (10/2).

He noted that the Public Service Mall brings together 19 different agencies under one roof, sparing residents and business operators from visiting multiple locations for their administrative needs.

By the close of the first half of 2026, Jakarta’s realized investment reached Rp 173.6 trillion, driven by Rp 106.5 trillion in domestic direct investment (PMDN) and Rp 67.1 trillion in foreign direct investment (PMA). This stellar achievement ranks as the highest investment realization nationwide.

According to Pramono, this seamless integration and one-stop service have successfully fostered strong public trust and confidence among business players in the Jakarta administration.

Nevertheless, he urged his officials to continuously elevate public services, highlighting the need to accelerate the processing of driver's licenses (SIM), vehicle registration certificates (STNK), and passport printing.

"Currently, for instance, driver's licenses require off-site printing, which takes three to four days. But when it comes to the processing itself, applicants can complete it right here in just five to ten minutes," he explained.

He also highlighted the synchronization of licensing through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system between the central and regional governments. He cited the example of restaurant and boarding house business permits, which still require approval from locals.
